Handwritten answers from Brazilian public schools.

AIED-Unplugged collects essays, mathematical working, and multiple-choice answer sheets, written on paper and photographed.

This is the preview competition. It runs on a sample of the collection, released ahead of it. The full collection holds roughly 100,000 responses and follows at a later date, in prediction formats based on the ones declared here.

Tracks

A scanned essay page, handwritten on 26 of the 30 lines of the answer form.

Automated Essay Scoring

Score a handwritten Portuguese essay against the five ENEM competences, from a photograph of the page.

Question 01 asks how many more 1-real coins Pedro needs, having 20 and needing 45. The student wrote 25, with 45 − 20 as working.

Mathematical Exam Diagnostic

Classify a student's handwritten working as correct or by the error it contains.

A photographed answer sheet with 21 questions, one option filled in for each.

Answer Sheet Detection

Read a whole scanned answer sheet and report, for every question on it, what the student marked.

Entering

  1. The Rules set the competition period, the team policy, and the limit of 10 submissions per team on each track.
  2. Each track page describes the inputs, the prediction format, and the ranking metric, and links to the dataset on Kaggle and Hugging Face.
  3. Check a file tests a prediction CSV against its track’s format without submitting it.
  4. A submission, made from the track page, carries the predictions CSV and a ZIP of the code that produced them, at most 50 MB. Its reference appears under My submissions.
